Cummins, the designer and manufacturer of power generation equipment, power systems and supplies, and engines, has launched a new sustainability Web site in conjunction with its 7th annual Sustainability Report. The Web site contains the Report and other information about Cummins’ environmental initiatives. The green programs and partnerships launched by Cummins in the previous year include meeting the EPA emissions regulations for its on-highway diesel engine in the U.S.
Salesforce, the cloud computing company, has been awarded two “Stevie” Awards in the 8th Annual American Business Awards. Salesforce won for “Most Innovative Company of the Year” and its Salesforce.com Foundation won for CSR Program of the Year. Salesforce was recognized for redefining the enterprise software industry, and the foundation was honored for integrating a philanthropy model into its business practice. To date, salesforce.com employees have contributed more than 192,000 hours of volunteer service; more than 8,500 nonprofits run their operations with donated salesforce.com product; and more than $20 million dollars in grants has been awarded to nonprofits.
