I'm Cocopah, Cayuse, Yankton, and Assiniboine. I grew up on the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Northeast Oregon. I'm employed with the Trust for Public Land as the national director for the Tribal & Native Lands Program. I also serve as a consultant on tribal issues with several national consulting firms. I have worked in the non- profit management field for 15 years. I most recently served as the executive director for the Columbia Slough Watershed Council. I have also been the executive director for the Community Energy Project and the Earth Conservation Corps. My primarty work has been in salmon and watershed restoration throughout the Pacific Northwest with tribes and urban centers. I serve on the boards/councils of The Resource Innovations Group, Indigenous Waters Network, River Network, USS Ranger Foundation, Umatilla Tribal Community Foundation, and the Indian Dispute Resolutions Services. I live in Portland, Oregon near the N' Chi Wana (Big River - the Columbia River) with my wife, Lori and our three kids Rosey, Chauncey, and Clara.
